The new attraction named Banksy: Genius or Vandal? Is drawing a lot of attention in Las Vegas. For the first time ever, controversial artist known only as Banksy, will have his artwork displayed on the strip. But is he a genius or a vandal? That’s for you to decide!
Banksy has been around for a long time, showing off his iconic street art depicting war, capitalism, politics, and mortality. Banksy’s work blew up, creating what is now known as the “Banksy Effect” – the idea that his dark humor and wit produce an emotional and curious response from his audience leaving them shocked, stunned, and inspiring them to want more. A good example of this was seen in 2018, when one of his most popular pieces, formally known as “Girl with Red Balloon” (now known as “Love Is In The Bin”) was shredded immediately after it sold in auction.
Banksy is without a doubt talented and you can see for yourself up close at the new art exhibit Banksy: Genius or Vandal? A 700 pound piece titled “Stop Esso,” “Rose Trap,” “Holocaust Lipstick,” and “Heavy Weaponry” are few of the many works on display.
The exhibit runs through April 5, 2020 – get your tickets before time runs out!
